- FlexOvit® 4 1/2" X 7/8" Type 27 extra coarse silicon carbide non-woven clean and prep disc is an abrasive wheel, constructed of a heavy nylon web, impregnated with coarse silicon carbide grain. This product is suited for a wide range of cleaning and surface conditioning applications that were previously done with coated abrasives or wire brushes. The flexibility of the nylon web conforms to irregular surfaces, while the silicon carbide abrasive remains aggressive on a wide variety of materials.
