This Merit Surface Prep AO coarse grit non-woven narrow backstand belt is a great choice for moderate material removal, deburring and initial blending of welds and mismatched surfaces. Engineered with a premium aluminum oxide abrasive grain, this backstand belts cuts up to 20 percent faster than other surface conditioning belts. They're open-coated and crafted with Clean Bond resin technology to deliver smear-free finishes on high nickel content alloys, and they minimize loading when grinding soft metals like aluminum. Featuring nylon fiber bonded to Y-weight polyester backing, this belt is ideal for applications where low-stretch and durability are crucial.
