- The premium aluminum oxide abrasive grain coating on the Bear-Tex Rapid Prep AO coarse grit non-woven narrow backstand belt provides a 20 percent higher cut rate compared to other surface conditioning belts. Durable nylon fiber is bonded to a strong Y-weight polyester backing for low-stretch results that maximize durability. Proprietary Clean Bond resin technology with an open coat means your high nickel content alloys come out with smear-free finishes, and you can work on soft metals with minimal loading. This belt is an ideal option for coarse grit moderate material removal, deburring and initial blending on welds and mismatched surfaces.
